Organizational Business Consulting
helping you get out of your head and love your business again
If you started a business, it's because you're passionate about something.
Maybe it's the product you're creating, maybe it's the people you get to help, maybe it's the freedom that comes with working for yourself.
Whatever it is, that passion is real — and it's what got you here.
But here's the other thing: as you grow, you are inevitably going to start dropping things. Feeling like you're holding more than you have hands for.
Maybe it's an invoice you forgot to follow up on, or a quote you forgot to hit send on. Maybe it's too many cooks in the kitchen - you thought someone else did it, they thought you did.
When you're getting started, so much of how you do your business lives in your head. That's normal. But at some point, it stops working.
I’m not here to help you grow faster, I’m here to help you stabilize what you already have so that when growth hits, you have the foundation and systems in place to handle it without losing your mind.
How it works:
The Consult
Starting with a free 30-minute call where you share a bit about your business and what you need help with, and I share how I can help.
I know how much it matters to be able to budget before you commit to anything, so we’ll also have a chance to discuss what works best for your budget.
My goal is to create sustainable, people-focused systems that work for YOUR brain, using software you already own. The finished product can be more traditionally written, be more graphic-focused (for my visual learners…I see you!), or a mixture of both.
The end goal is to take what has lived in your head and “map” it out on paper in a way that makes sense for your brain and goals, so that you can trust that the end result will be the same every time, no matter how busy you are or who is doing the work.
The Brain Dump
We start our work with a meeting (either in-person or virtually) where you just tell me everything!
I know every issue you are facing is connected to a million other things, and it may turn into a ramble, and that is totally fine!
My main goals are to understand how your business is currently running, who's involved, and what is and isn't working.
The Map
I organize everything you told me, timelines, cycles, workflows. I document the issues you’ve shared, and identify gaps and overlap that I see, creating a “map” so we can clearly see where we’re going and how to get there.
I share that with you before proceeding to make sure we didn’t miss anything, and to make sure we are aligned on the issues you need solved.
The Solution (and Revision)
Using the software you are already paying for (Google Suite or Office 365), I create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), in whatever way works best for your brain - visual (diagrams, calendars, and charts) or more traditional (written out) or a mixture of both!
After you have a chance to sit with it, I’ll also work in revisions you have.
My goal is to create something you can edit as you change and grow, as well as something you can use to onboard and ensure continuity with your offerings, no matter how busy you are or who is doing the tasks.
Why work with me?
I know first-hand, from growing up in a family business, how important it is to have real structure in place, but also how hard it is to find time to build it. I take the organization off your plate, handing it back in a way that works for your brain.
I’ve done this work with consistent organizational improvement across industries; specialty construction (my grandfather’s small business), non-profits, the legal field, and most recently a $4.5 million dollar grant program where I tripled recipient output within 6 months.
My specialty is taking chaos and turning it into something useable that reduces your overall mental workload and makes process and task ownership clear.
I’ve spent the last two and a half years in student-facing admissions and advising work, where I learned how to ask the right follow-up questions to get the full picture. I know that one of the hardest parts of building structure is identifying what you know, and that’s what I can help you with!
I’ve been doing this work in practice for my entire career, but I know that there’s real research behind organizational development.
That’s why I’m pursuing a Master of Science in Industrial-Organizational psychology (applied psychology in business). It means that I’m not just working off instinct, I’m backing it up with proven methods and research.
I don’t believe in a one-size fits all approach. I want to help you build something that lasts and that feels sustainable and usable, no matter if you are still building and are working alone, are expanding and have employees, or have expanded and need someone to help you navigate the chaos.
